Jene Kimanja

I met Jene Kimanja at the Florida Avenue flea market, where you can find him selling his wares and playing the drums most weekends. Jene's a real Renaissance Man. Among other things he is a one-man Home Improvement company, and a vendor of African Artifacts, books, jewelry, etc. He also plays a mean African drum, as I had the pleasure to witness. Jene is well versed on African literature, as represented by his extensive collection of books he's read and now selling. Jene's a cool brotha, and it was a pleasure to meet him and take this photo.
